SILENT NIGHT was full of surprises for me. It's unlike any other holiday story (or novella) I've read in quite some time. I knew something paranormal or magical had to be at work, but I didn't know what to think, right up to the end. The author kept me guessing and the payoff at the end was significant. I enjoyed the ride, experiencing Joanie's holiday miracle beside her as she fell in love with Howard and met a tiny ballerina and saved not just the child but herself and her future in one fell swoop.It's hard to categorize this story, outside of the simplest: by length. Definitely a novella. Definitely a Christmas story. It has elements of mystery (but it's not a typical mystery), elements of romance (but it's definitely not a typical romance), paranormal elements (but it's not speculative fiction)...but maybe it is. It's worth the read, just to discover for yourself. This story lingered with me for a long while after I finished reading.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. this was a cute little Christmas tale. I didn't understand until the very end what was going on. I feel the story could have been longer in order to enjoy it more. It was a good read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book so I could leave a honest review. ....Silent Night was a very intriguing novella ..it started out with Joanne a nurse in a mental facility hearing a noise. ...the story takes off from there it has a few twists and turns and jumps around a bit ...the ending was good but kinda left you scratching your head
I started reading this book but it just didn't click with me. One person compare it to the movie The Notebook I love it but this book I don't. I going to check for other books by this author and see if they are different. I got this book free for leaving a review.
Silent Night could have been so much better if not so confusing . I had to start reading it several times just to get into reading it. I am really not sure what the baby on the cover meant. I was not impressed at all. Maybe with abit more work on the story line would have helped. I was provided with a copy of this book for an honest opinion and review.
This was an interesting story and not the story I normally would read. Joanie is a nurse at a mental hospital type facility. The story begins with her hearing a noise and walking through the "hospital" and telling about some of the patients who are there and what has brought them there. She meanders her way through the hospital trying to find the source of the noise she heard. She finds a little girl playing jacks. The girl ignores her until all at once she stands begins to dance. Joanie calls her a ballerina and is moved by the grace of this little girl. The little girl disappears and the rest of the novella is spent with Joanie trying to find her again. She decides she wants to foster/adopt her.
There are quite a few twists and turns this book. But, it does seem to have a happy ending but it is an odd little book.

This well told story will warm your heart. If you enjoyed The Notebook you will love this story. The story of how a Wish fulfilled on Christmas changed the course of the characters. A lovely read. Will look for more stories by this author.
I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review. I'm a character reader, I get into the characters, their story, who/what they are. The author does an amazing job in a novella of painting the character quickly & thoroughly. In developing her story line I never saw the *spoiler alert* late twist coming. I'm not sure if it's the time of the year, the upcoming time of the season or what but this is a very enjoyable read.
